Gordon, who joined Newcastle from Everton in January 2023 for £45 million, has made a significant impact, tallying 13 goals and 11 assists in 64 appearances while earning a spot in the England national team.
Currently at Euro 2024 with England, Gordon has seen limited playing time, appearing only as a substitute.
According to reports, Liverpool’s interest has piqued Gordon’s attention, especially given his desire to return to Merseyside and compete for major honors, including regular Champions League football.
Newcastle faced pressure to comply with the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules by the June 30 deadline, prompting discussions about potential sales of key players like Gordon and Alexander Isak, who also attracted interest from Chelsea.
