The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has recently announced the promotion of 7000 of its staff to higher ranks.
This promotion includes both senior officers who passed regular exams and junior staff who gained additional qualifications.
The announcement was made in a letter from the Secretary of the Immigration, Civil Defense, Correctional, and Fire Service Board.
In addition to the promotions, the Acting Comptroller General of NIS has also reassigned 12 Comptrollers to various states.
The NIS is committed to prioritizing the welfare of its personnel and future promotions will be based on seniority.
