Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Asake has just dropped the music video for his latest single “2:30,” which encourages listeners to embrace their true selves.
The song, produced by Magicsticks and BlaiseBeatz, showcases Asake’s unique sound and is a preview of his highly anticipated album set to release later this year.
The music video, directed by Edgar Esteves and shot in Los Angeles, features the artist enjoying the LA lifestyle surrounded by beautiful women.
Asake’s recent success includes a late-night TV debut on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and a collaboration with fellow Nigerian performer Davido on the track “No Competition.”
“2:30” was born out of Asake’s time at an African Writing Camp in San Francisco with hitmakers Olamide and Fireboy DML.
