Nigerian student breaks Guinness world record with one-legged skipping

Nigerian student breaks Guinness world record with one-legged skipping

Gbenga Ezekiel, a senior secondary school one student of Ijapo High School in Akure, the Ondo State capital has broken the Guinness World Record for most skips on one leg in one minute.

Ezekiel was able to beat the previous record of 262 skips held by Bangladesh’s Rasel Islam, with an impressive 265 skips!

The feat was officially recognized four months after his attempt last October and has been posted on the Guinness World Records website.

After achieving this accomplishment, Ezekiel vowed to continue striving for excellence as he expressed his joy of now being a Guinness World Record Holder.

Additionally, he thanked his coach for introducing him to rope skipping and praised himself for his dedication and hard work along this journey.

By breaking this record, Ezekiel has become not only the first athlete from Ondo State but also the first Nigerian and African rope skipper to earn this title.
