MC Oluomo, the Chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages, has announced that transport operators will not be participating in the protest organized by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).
Oluomo stated that the Lagos State government has created a favorable environment for transport operators to carry out their operations.
He emphasized that the state government has implemented various interventions to support commercial transport operators.
MC Oluomo expressed that after careful deliberation, they have decided not to join the strike or protest rally planned by the NLC and TUC to draw attention to the issues being debated in the country.
He stated that the Lagos State government has provided a peaceful atmosphere, and there is no reason for them to participate in any action that may disrupt the peace of the state.
MC Oluomo and the Lagos State Parks and Garages firmly reject any form of strike or protest organized by any group or organized labor.
The NLC has planned a nationwide protest to take place today, Wednesday, in response to the increase in fuel prices following the removal of subsidies by President Bola Tinubu.
