Governor Ademola Adeleke’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, has dismissed claims suggesting the Osun leader is considering a move to the African Democratic Congress — www.naijnaira.com reports.
Leadership News noted that speculation around Adeleke’s political stance was triggered by unverified reports tying him to an alliance with ADC figures.
Rasheed clarified in a public statement that Adeleke remains fully committed to the Peoples Democratic Party and has no reason to align with another party.
“There is no alliance with anyone in ADC,” he stated, adding that Adeleke would contest and win the 2026 elections on the PDP ticket.
He emphasized that the governor’s administration continues to receive broad support from Osun voters based on his performance in office.
According to Rasheed, internal party structures are being strengthened to secure another term for Adeleke in the coming election.
He also pointed out that Osun PDP had already declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election, which further distances the party from ADC collaboration.
Rasheed urged PDP members to stay focused on consolidating electoral gains rather than fueling baseless speculation.
