A recent judgement by the Federal High Court has upheld the right of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to suspend or expel its members, including former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.
The ruling has been applauded by Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who had previously called for Wike’s suspension.
Eze believes that a strong opposition is necessary for the country and that the PDP should use this opportunity to rebuild and recover from its losses.
He also criticized Wike for allegedly seeking favors from officials in the APC government while still claiming to be a member of the PDP.
Eze stated that it was not surprising to see Wike turning himself into an errand boy in Aso Rock; disturbing the tranquility of the environment and nosing around officials of the APC government to get considered for while still deceiving himself as to still be a member of PDP.
