The start date for the 2023/24 Nigeria Professional Football League season has been delayed once again.
Davidson Owumi, the Chief Operating Officer of the NPFL board, announced the postponement in a letter to Newsmen.
The season was originally set to begin on August 26 but was later pushed back to September 9.
Owumi stated that the new kick-off date will be announced at a later time.
The opening fixture between Shooting Stars and Plateau United, which was supposed to take place this weekend, will be rescheduled.
Enyimba currently holds the title of NPFL champion.
