The Oppo F17 Pro is one of the best mid range device out there and here is its price in Nigeria and complete specifications.
The product comes with an impressive set of hardware. And I strongly doubt any mid-range smartphone user will have reasons to complain about this device.
Giving details, the F17 Pro is a pretty large phone, having a display of about 6.43 inches and a thickness of about 7.5 mm.
The device’s display is protected with a Gorilla Glass 3+, while the rear side features a pretty cool plastic. As regards the chipset of the phone, the product is powered by the MediaTek Helio P95 chipset.
This chipset isn’t one of the most popular MediaTek products, but my experience with the F17 Pro shows that the MediaTek Helio P95 is great at what it does.
Some other things you’ll appreciate about this phone are its cameras. The device comes with very impressive front and rear cameras.
While the paragraphs above have been helpful in telling you how cool the F17 Pro is, we have more to say than to tell you how cool the device is.
In other words, if you can read this article till the end, we have a lot more to tell you. So consider spending the next few minutes consuming the rest of this content.
Talking about the structure of this rest of the content, I’ll first be presenting you with a summary of the phone’s specs and features; following this will then be a discussion on the phone’s price. Afterwards, we’ll then delve into an actual review.

Oppo F17 Pro Price in Nigeria
The price of F17 pro from Oppo is 120,000 – 125,000 Naira in Nigeria. You can get it on various stores and online.
As stated above, the F17 Pro is a pretty impressive phone, from the perspective of design. It’s so cool that hardly will there be someone who won’t appreciate it at all.
Giving details, the device is pretty large, measuring 160.1 mm as its length and 73.8 mm as its width. If you have used or you’re using a phone released in 2019 or 2020, chances are that may be able to imagine the size of the phone, using the size of the 2019 or the 2020 phone.
However, if you’re yet to use any 2019 or 2020 product, you can imagine the F17 Pro to be a bit bigger than your current phone.
Furthermore, the front of the phone is protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ while the rear side of the device features a pretty cool plastic. The quality of the plastic is not as good as those of premium smartphones, but it looks like it’s that of a high-end device.
As for those who wonder how the F17 Pro compares to the Standard F17, the two phones are roughly of the same size. But when it comes to things like camera placement and colours, there are huge differences between the two devices.
The chipset which powers the F17 Pro is the MediaTek Helio P95. This chipset is pretty powerful, although you may have never heard about it.
I was able to subject a build of the F17 Pro to highly-computing-intensive tasks, and it performed pretty well; so when I say the MediaTek Helio P95 is a great hardware, believe me.
However, to give some details about what’s inside the chipset, the chipset houses a pretty powerful octa-core processor. The octa-core processor is made up of Cortex A55 cores and Cortex A75 cores.
The Cortex A75 cores of the chipset are two in number, and they also happen to be the primary cores of the chipset. Furthermore, these two Cortex-A75 cores are rated at 2.20 GHz.
As for the other six cores of the MediaTek Helio P95, these cores are all Cortex-A55 cores. And these cores are furthermore the secondary cores of the chipset and are each rated at 2.00 GHz.
While the processor of the F17 Pro is really nice, the phone won’t be the first mid-range phone to feature such a nice processor.
In other words, there are a good number of other product out there which can easily compete the F17 Pro, in terms of processing capability.
However, when it comes to the aspect of GPU, only a smaller number of other devices can compete with the F17 Pro, thanks to the PowerVR GM9446 which handles the graphics processing of the device.
As for the main memory of the phone, the device makes use of a high-speed RAM memory as its main memory.
The device’s main memory has a capacity of 8 GB, which means coupled with its data transfer speed, the phone will perform much better many other mid-range phones we have out there.
F17 Pro is a device featuring a pretty nice display. The display of the phone is a Super AMOLED display, a thing you won’t be getting if you’re buying a similar product from Tecno or Infinix.
As regards the size of the display, it is measured to be 6.43 inches. And with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, the phone can be said to have a pixel density of about 408 pixels per inch (PPI).
A display of this type and of this kind of pixel density is a thing we don’t often see in mid-range phones used by Nigerians, so you shouldn’t be surprised if the display of the phone blows your mind.
As for the brightness of this device, you, of course, won’t have any problem with the device.
The display of the phone is rated at about 430 nits. And when I tested the brightness under highly-illuminated conditions, I had no problem using the phone. And with the phone featuring a light sensor, the phone can automatically adjust its display, based on its location.
It is a phone powered by the Android operating system. The phone is powered by the Android 10 operating system.
However, the Android of the phone isn’t the stock Android 10. The OS of this product is rather a custom Android known as the Color OS 7.2 operating system.
Personally, I don’t like the OS as much as the stock Android 10, but this doesn’t mean its terrible. So, even though I don’t like the OS, you may like it.
We have Android 10 phones which can be upgraded to Android 11, when the OS becomes available.
And if you ask if the Oppo F17 is one of them, I honestly can’t answer that question because there isn’t any authentic information about that. However, don’t be surprised if you get the chance to upgrade your OS from Android 10 to 11.
The F17 Pro is a product coming with an internal storage having a capacity of 128 GB. The standard capacity for a mid-range phone is 64 GB. In other words, by having double the standard capacity, we should have only a very small fraction of users who’ll require more storage space.
And for those who won’t find this 128 GB adequate, you have nothing to worry about, as the device has support for micro SD card. It is also worthwhile stating that even though the F17 Pro truly comes with 128 GB of storage, not all of this 128 GB will be available for your own use.
The OS, its SWAP, pre-installed apps, and a number of things will consume some of this storage space. In other words, expect much less than 128 GB to be what will be available for your personal use.
Another thing you should note is that the storage of the F17 Pro can be compared to those of many other smartphones.
While most mid-range phones come with eMMC 5.1 storages, the storage of the F17 Pro is a UFS 2.1 device. UFS 2.1 devices are much faster and support bi-directional data transfer, so expect this product to be significantly more responsive.
The set of rear cameras the F17 Pro features is an impressive set of cameras. The main rear camera is a 48 MP lens. This lens is highly-enhanced, with both hardware and software enhancements, and it is capable of taking video as high as 4K, in resolution.
And while that lens alone is enough to take amazing pictures, it further has the support of three other lenses. The first secondary lens is an 8 MP lens which assists with the ultrawideness of pictures.
The second and third lens are also 2 MP lenses and are responsible for assisting the main rear camera with macro pictures and the depth of pictures.
As for the front of F17 Pro, a 16 MP lens serves as the selfie camera. Just like the main rear camera, this lens is also highly-enhanced.
And with the few pictures I took with the phone, I’m very sure you won’t be disappointed about the quality of pictures taken by this lens.
However, note that the 16 MP lens isn’t the only camera in the front of the phone. The selfie camera has another 2 MP lens assisting it with the depth of pictures.
As regards the 5G support of the F17 Pro, this product does not come with support for 5G networks. The phone only has support for 2G, 3G, and 4G networks.
However, I don’t think this should be a problem since 5G won’t even really be available in Nigeria until after 2 years.
So if you’re not going to be spending the most part of your next two years in a developed country, you really have nothing to worry about.
The Oppo brand is not a very popular brand in a country like Nigeria. In fact, this may be the first time you’ll be coming across a product of the brand.
But regardless of whether you know about the brand or not, the F17 Pro is one of the brand’s product you should feel free to buy, as the product is truly a great one.
Do the think the Oppo f17 pro price in Nigeria is worth the specifications and features it is offering? Let me know in the comment.
