Victor Osimhen has joined Galatasaray on loan after failing to secure a permanent move away from Napoli on deadline day, but he reportedly insisted on a break clause in his contract that allows him to join Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool in January.

Despite late interest from Chelsea and Al-Ahli, both clubs were unable to finalize a deal with Napoli, leading Osimhen to make the temporary move to Turkey.

Chelsea and Al-Ahli showed significant interest in acquiring Osimhen’s services, particularly during the frantic final hours of the transfer window.

Chelsea’s discussions with Napoli reached a stalemate, resulting in an impasse but Al-Ahli faced a different challenge.

They had initially agreed on terms with Napoli, only to see the Italian club increase their financial demands later.

Faced with these revised terms, Al-Ahli opted against the move, eventually choosing to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford instead.

As part of his loan to Galatasaray, Osimhen’s full salary of £176,000 per week is being covered by the Turkish club, without any loan fee.

However, the Nigerian striker has left the door open for a potential Premier League move in January, provided he receives an offer from one of his preferred clubs.

Napoli has also reportedly lowered Osimhen’s release clause to approximately £63.2 million and has the option to extend his contract until 2027 if he is not sold by next summer.
