Wikke wants Ayu’s resignation so as to pave way for a Southerner to take over because it will be unfair for the North to produce both PDP National Chairman and Presidential Candidate.
According to The Nation, Ayu disclosed that for him to resign as the PDP National Chairman, all members of the National Working Committee (NWC) from the South must swap their current positions with those from the North since the 2023 PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a Northerner.
Recall that Wike’s Camp recently demanded for the PDP National Chairman’s Resignation for them to support the Party’s Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in 2023.
