The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has made it clear that if the G5 Governors, composed of Nyesom Wike from Rivers State, Seyi Makinde from Oyo, Okezie Ikpeazu from Abia, Samuel Ortom of Benue and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu, are to fulfill their purported meeting with APC’s Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London and defect away their support for Atiku Abubakar, they will face sanctions.
PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba stated that “the PDP is a party of constitution, rules and procedures, so any actions against the party would be met by appropriate circumstances within the guidelines stated by the constitution.”
Furthermore, Ologunagba clarified that reconciliation is not something rushed into as it takes process and therefore he hopes the governors will consider what is best for their side.
