Peter Obi won’t budge in face-off with Atiku Abubakar

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate for the 2023 Presidential Election, has clarified that he will not step down from his place as the frontrunner of the race in favour of Atiku Abubakar from the Peoples Democratic Party.
Responding to inquiries concerning talks between him and Atiku’s camp, Diran Onifade, Obi’s Head of Media for his Presidential Campaign Council, disclosed that he is running in order to win and not as part of any agreement to step down.
The statement affirmed that Obi was participating with a view to fulfilling Nigerians’ hopes for a “New Nigeria free of lies, corruption and selfish scheming.”
