The Polish prime minister has issued a warning about the presence of over 100 mercenaries from the Russian-linked Wagner group near the border with Poland.

These mercenaries have reportedly moved close to the Suwalki Gap, a strategically important area between Belarus and Kaliningrad.

Poland, as a member of the EU and NATO, has expressed concerns about its security given the proximity of Russian ally Belarus and Ukraine.

The arrival of the Wagner group mercenaries in Belarus has heightened these fears.

The situation at the Poland-Belarus border has already been tense due to the influx of immigrants from the Middle East and Africa, which Poland believes is being used by Russia and Belarus to destabilize the country and other EU nations.

In response, Poland has constructed a high wall along parts of its border with Belarus.

The prime minister stated that this recent development is a step towards a further hybrid attack on Polish territory, emphasizing the growing danger.
