President Tinubu Shakes Up NIMC Leadership, Retires DG, Makes Fresh Appointments

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced changes in the leadership of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

The current Director-General/CEO, Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, will begin a 90-day pre-retirement leave starting from August 24, 2023, and will retire from service on November 24, 2023.

In his place, Bisoye Coker-Odusote has been appointed as the Acting Director-General/CEO for the 90-day period, starting from August 24, 2023.

After this period, Coker-Odusote will assume the role of the substantive NIMC Director-General/CEO for a full term of four years, beginning on November 24, 2023.
