President Bola Tinubu is set to submit his highly anticipated list of ministerial nominees to the Senate in the coming week.

The first batch of names primarily consists of technocrats who align with President Tinubu’s objective of revitalizing the economy.

Tinubu is carefully selecting individuals who he believes will bring value and propel the country forward, particularly in the realm of economics.

The list is expected to be finalized during a meeting with the president on Monday.

The aim is to construct a performance-driven Federal Executive Council, with highly competent technocrats who can aid in achieving President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The president has already demonstrated his talent-spotting ability in Lagos State and is assembling a formidable team to address the challenges facing the country.

Among the technocrats on the list is a former CEO of a commercial bank from the South-West who is being considered for the Ministry of Finance.

President Tinubu has also intervened in the selection of a nominee from Kano State due to ongoing conflicts.

The president is committed to expediting the economic reconstruction and intends to submit the first batch of nominees to the Senate this week.

Speculations suggest that the list may include the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, and some of his colleagues from the G-5 camp.

Additionally, individuals who were unsuccessful in their senatorial bids and were unable to install successors in their respective states might be considered for ministerial appointments.

It is important to note that the president is required to appoint one minister from each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to aid in governing the nation.
