RB Leipzig and Manchester City had a tight contest in their Champions League tie as they ended in a draw of 1-1.

The match started with City possessing much of the ball, resulting in Riyad Mahrez giving them the lead after 27 minutes.

Leipzig, who have been on a roll lately with only one loss in their last 20 matches, could not slow down the pace and were nearly defeated in the first half.

However, Josko Gvardiol equalized 20 minutes to full-time, giving them a glimmer of hope.

Former Borussia Dortmund striker, Erling Haaland struggled to make an impact while Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte missed the match due to illness.

Despite chances from other players like Jack Grealish and Ilkay Gundogan, Manchester City failed to take advantage of Leipzig being ‘there for the taking’ during that period.

Both sides had chances for further goals but neither team was able to capitalize completely which left their return leg still hanging in balance.
