Bajoga Ahmed Alkali, the registrar of Gombe State Polytechnic, has passed away after battling an undisclosed illness.
He was buried according to Islamic customs. Alkali had previously worked at the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Federal University of Kashere, where he rose to the position of deputy registrar before becoming the registrar of Gombe State Polytechnic.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya expressed his condolences and praised Alkali’s contributions to the academic community in the state.
The governor noted Alkali’s humility, strength of character, and exemplary conduct, and said that his death would leave a significant void in the academic and general spheres of the state.
The governor extended his deepest sympathies to Alkali’s family, the Gombe State Polytechnic Bajoga community, and the Federal University of Kashere community.
He prayed for Alkali’s soul to rest in peace and for his good deeds to be rewarded in Aljannat Firdaus.
