There are reports suggesting that Arsenal defender, Kieran Tierney, who has been touted as a future captain for the club, is interested in a move to Newcastle.
Since the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko at the Emirates Stadium, Tierney has found himself down the pecking order and has only had four starts in the Premier League this season.
The Magpies are apparently keen to bring him to St James’ Park and have reportedly made a £30m offer for him ahead of next season.
Though Gunners’ boss Mikel Arteta is said to be open to moving him on, it would still be a significant loss for the club.
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown even backed Tierney as a possible future captain after striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was stripped of the role earlier this year.
It remains to be seen whether or not Tierney will leave, but one thing is certain: he has been an influential figure since he arrived from Celtic in 2019, making 113 appearances for Arsenal so far.
