Oliver Diana, a former presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has explained why the party has not taken any action against Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, for alleged anti-party activities.
According to Diana, the PDP has chosen to take the path of peace with Wike because the party knows the challenges and battles that lie ahead.
She added that while the PDP has the capacity to instill discipline, building the party to reposition it for the challenges of political leadership is more important than sanctioning an erring member.
However, a PDP National Executive Committee member, Timothy Osadolor, has challenged Wike to resign from the party, stating that the party leadership has done the needful by ignoring him.
Osadolor also criticized Wike for his recent interview with BBC Pidgin Service, where he appeared to be open to accepting a job offer from Tinubu.
