Roma manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly set his sights on Liverpool centre-back Joel Matip as a potential summer transfer target.
Matip, who has become a fan favorite at Anfield, has been pushed down the pecking order this season due to the emergence of Ibrahima Konate and the return of Virgil van Dijk.
With just 20 appearances in all competitions this season, Matip may be looking for a new club.
Roma, Juventus, and AC Milan are all said to be interested in the Cameroonian defender, with Roma emerging as a contender to sign him this summer.
Liverpool is believed to be open to offers for Matip, with bids around €15m (£13.3m) expected.
While Liverpool’s primary focus for the summer window will be the arrival of at least one new midfielder, they may also look to bolster their defensive ranks if Matip and Nat Phillips both depart.
