The Harambee Stars will share Ksh 21 million after battling Angola to a tense 1-1 draw in their second CHAN 2024 group game – www.naijnaira.com reports.

According to Pulse Sports, each of the 27 players will pocket Ksh 500,000, while 15 technical bench members will also benefit from the payout.

The offer is part of President William Ruto’s incentive plan, which includes Ksh 1 million for a win, Ksh 500,000 for a draw, and up to Ksh 70 million for reaching the semifinals.

Kenya went behind in the 12th minute when Jo Paciencia struck for Angola, but Austin Odhiambo leveled from the penalty spot minutes later.

Midfielder Marvin Nabwire’s red card left Kenya with 10 men, yet they held firm even after Angola’s late winner was disallowed by VAR.

With four points from two matches, Kenya now eyes a quarterfinal spot in this home-soil campaign.
