Specs & Review of the New Samsung Notes
Here is the review and comparison of the Samsung 2019 notes.
Note 10 Design and Display
The Samsung Note 10 features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD resolution, coming in at 2280 x 1080 pixels, with 401 pixels per inch.
This simply means you will enjoy all the visuals you load on the smartphone; be it Games, Apps, Videos, Pictures, name it. That being said, it is worthy to pinpoint that this device is somewhat different from the previously-released Note 9 in terms of display, weight, and breadth.
The Note 10 is lighter [168g], thinner [72 x 151 x 7.9mm], and has a smaller screen size, which makes it one of the lightest flagship Samsung phones available.
Although we said this device is smaller than its predecessor, but it is equally important to make it known that it has a large display such that many users may find it difficult to operate it using one hand.
When it comes to build quality, you might really enjoy the Samsung Note 10 as it is made with a blend of quality glass and metal materials to give it a premium feel and an appealing look.
Again, it will please you to know that the device is IP68 water and dust resistant, which means you can operate your device in both wet and dusty areas without the fear of it getting splashed, or having sand infiltrate the ports.
Additionally, the fingerprint scanner of the Note 10 is carefully placed under the screen [just like we have it on the S10 and S10 Plus], and also the under-display scanners are somewhat higher than what is found on most devices of its category.
Just place your finger on the scanner and your device will be unlocked quickly and hassle-free.
The three major features you will find at the bottom edge of this phone include the USB-C connector [in the middle], a speaker and the S-Pen slot [beside the connector].
Should in case you are wondering if this device is available in multiple colors or just one, the absolute answer is that it is available in three major colors – Aura Glow, Aura White and Aura Black.
Note: Not all colours will be available in all markets; information on these will be released later by the manufacturer.
Note 10 Plus Display & Design
Samsung Note 10 Plus has a 6.8-inch AMOLED Infinity-O display alongside a 3040 x 1440 (QHD) resolution, with 498 pixels per inch, making it one of the largest Samsung devices.
It also supports HDR10+ to make your graphical content like games, videos, etc., look crisper, brighter, and more aesthetic – even than that of Note 10.
Another strong point of this device is that it has an Infinity-O display [just as seen on the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus ], that is, the entire front of the phone is made up of screen.
The only item featured on the front of the device is a punch-hole cutout for the 10MP front-facing camera, which is placed at the top in the middle.

This therefore makes the device appear more unique and adorable.
Note 10 Plus’s dimensions and weight are 77 x 162 x 7.9mm and 196g respectively, which means it is a bit thicker and weightier than the Note 10.
Mere looking at or touching the Note 10 Plus, it looks/feels very similar to a phablet, but you might find it difficult to operate with only one hand; it is a two-handed device, but it’s a sleek one.
The quality of the materials used in building the Samsung Note 10 Plus can never be overemphasized as the device’s back is made of glass and the frame of metal to make it more durable and comfortable to use.
Again, you may also like the fact that each button on this device is carefully placed to make operation easier. For instance, the USB-C connector and S Pen are located on the bottom edge while the volume rocker and power button are placed on the right-hand edge of the smartphone.
On a final note, the Plus is available in multiple colors from which you can choose from, and this includes, Aura Glow version, Aura Blue, Aura Black and Aura White – choose what you love!
Note 10 Camera
- Front: 10MP f/2.2 80-degree FoV
- Rear: 12-megapixel + 16-megapixel + 12-megapixel
It is equipped with a 16MP ultra-wide f/2.2 sensor, a 12MP regular lens and a 12MP telephoto lens f/2.1 telephoto camera offering 2x lossless optical zoom – same combination found on preceding devices like Galaxy S10 or S10 Plus.
However, it can be said opined that most of the upgrades in the Note 10’s camera unit are in its video recording capabilities.
It also comes with an improved stabilization technology as well as some intriguing features to let you capture high-quality, beautiful pictures with your smartphone.
Some of the features include 4 live focus modes[Blur, Big Circle, Colour Point, and Glitch], AR camera, Air Gestures, video editor app, AR Doodle, Four live focus modes, to mention but a few. With the Four live focus modes, you can easily manipulate the background in any of your photos and videos while the AR Doodle lets you write over the top of moving images.
Again, the devices come with a brand new video editor app for editing videos on-the-go, not forgetting that the S Pen’s Air Gestures in this smartphone also allows you to zoom in and snap a shot without having to touch the screen. Samsung really deserves kudos for this.
Note 10 Plus Camera
- Front: 10MP f/2.2 80-degree FoV
- Rear: 12-megapixel + 16-megapixel + 12-megapixel + 0.3-megapixel
Its camera is equipped with cameras similar to that of Note 10 and many other previously-released Samsung phones.
It has a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, 12MP regular lens and 12MP f/2.1 telephoto lens that deliver excellent photography altogether.
The Note 10 Plus also share the same camera features with the Note 10, ranging from 4 live focus modes [Blur, Big Circle, Colour Point, and Glitch], AR camera, Air Gestures, video editor app, AR Doodle, Four live focus modes, etc.
The major difference is just that the former has a DepthVision camera while the feature is missing on the latter. With the DepthVision camera, your device will be able to sense depth, take 3D scans of objects, distinguish between subjects and their background, etc.
Note 10 Battery Life
Performance and battery life is an important factor that must never be left out when sourcing for a smartphone.
The Galaxy Note 10 is equipped with a 3500mAh battery that might give you a fair run time to perform myriads of operations on your device – gaming, internet surfing, chatting, live streaming, videoing, calling, among others.

Note 10 Plus Battery Life
The Note 10 Plus is equipped with a huge 4,300mAh battery, which is of course the biggest battery capacity found in a Galaxy phone.
Other devices that come close are S10 Plus and Note 9 with 4,000 mAh and 4,100 mAh respectively. With the bigger battery that comes with this device, rest assured it might last you all day on a charge and even become one of the smartphones with the best battery life.
Again, the Note 10 Plus supports ultra-fast 45W charging while it also maxes at 15W For wireless charging.
Note 10 Speed & Performance
When it comes to speed and performance, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 delivers real value for money.
It sports a military-grade Samsung Exynos 9825 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB ROM, among other features – all of which are enough to power your device without any glitches or hassles.
You can load games and apps of any sizes on this device but rest assured the smartphone would rarely get hot or hang unnecessarily; its processor, graphics card, RAM, storage capacity, and other performance-enhancing features are more than efficient.
However, the major drawback of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is that it comes with a smaller, 3500mAh battery, which means you might not get a battery life up to that of Note 10 Plus with 4,000mAh battery.
Thankfully, if you are not okay with the device’s battery you can always add some amount of money and get the Note 10 Plus.
Note 10 Plus Speed and Performance
The Note 10+ could be a great phone choice for gamers or heavy phone users as it comes with a wide variety of features that allows for seamless, smooth and speedy performance.
The device is powered by efficient Qualcomm or Exynos hardware [depending on region] and is equipped with huge 12GB RAM, generous 256/512GB storage + microSD to ensure hitch-free experience on your smartphone.
