Snoop Dogg has officially joined Swansea City A.F.C. as a minority co-owner and investor, NaijNaira can report. The rapper made the announcement shortly after featuring in the club’s 2025-26 kit reveal, creating a buzz across social platforms.
According to BBC Sport, the mural of Snoop, designed by artist Hasan Kamil, was also unveiled at Swansea’s West Stand as part of the ownership reveal. “My love of football is well known, but it feels special to me that I make my move into club ownership with Swansea City,” he said in a statement on the club’s official site.
“The story of the club and the area really struck a chord with me. This is a proud, working-class city and club. An underdog that bites back, just like me,” Snoop added.
Swansea CEO Tom Gorringe called the partnership “very exciting” and praised Snoop’s commitment to growing the club’s global footprint. The ownership group described it as “the next episode” in boosting Swansea’s profile.
Snoop has long expressed interest in football, having previously been linked to Celtic F.C. and involved in a Canadian sports team bid. His recent activity in sports media, music, and Olympic commentary has made headlines in recent years.
