Solomon Arase Confirmed As Nigeria's Police Service Commission Chair

On Wednesday, the Nigerian Senate officially confirmed President Muhammadu Buhari’s nomination of Solomon Arase as the chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC).

This confirmation came after a review of the report submitted by the Committee on Police Affairs.

Jika Haliru (APC-Bauchi), Chairman of the committee, explained that various legal requirements and qualifications had already been met by Mr Arase, showing him to be a suitable candidate for this role.

Also, Mathew Urhoghide (PDP-Edo) praised Buhari’s nomination and further encouraged the Senate to quickly approve it in order to ensure PSC’s excellence.

Thus, with all these pieces of evidence pointing to his qualification and merit, Solomon Arase has been confirmed as Nigeria’s Police Service Commission Chair.
