Spanish football powerhouse, FC Barcelona, and global streaming platform Spotify have teamed up to create ‘Player Playlists’ — collections of tracks motivating and inspiring both their male and female teams.
On January 30th, Barcelona players, Pedri and Alexia Putellas unveiled two playlists featuring tunes that get them pumped up for a match.
The playlists feature artists like Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Rosalía, Shakira and Tiësto.
The Player Playlist series is part of the lasting collaboration between FC Barcelona and Spotify that began in July 2020 with the re-branding of the iconic stadium to ‘Spotify Camp Nou’.
In March last year also saw the launch of their podcast series ‘Dream Team’ where Spotify executives discussed the partnership as part of their ‘For The Record’ series.
