5 Methods to Take Screenshot in MIUI 8.
Xiaomi MIUI 8 is currently one of the best and most customized android custom rom in the world. It is a light, low battery consumption and feature rich rom.
1.) Using Volume Down and Power Key.
This method of taking screen capture is not new in MIUI 8, it has been in use for a very long time. You can easily take screenshot in MIUI 8 or any other android device by holding the Volume Down and Power Button together. When you hear the camera shutter sound, the screen has been successfully captured.
To capture more than what is viewable on the screen, you need to make use of the long screenshot option. Immediately you take a successful capture of your screen, an animation will appear/float at the top right corner of the screen and it will available for just five (5) seconds.
Quickly tap on it >> You will see options like Scroll, Edit, Send etc. >> Tap on Scroll >> Scroll up the content page >> Tap on Done when satisfied >> You can now edit or send/share the captured image.
Just like normal screenshot, it will be stored under Screen Shot folder in Gallery.
2.) Using Volume Down and Menu Key.
Just like the above method, you just need to hold both the Volume Down + Menu Key together to capture the screen. Once screenshot has been taken, you will see a floating animation of the captured page at the right corner of your screen and you can decide to make use of the long screenshot option or not.
The Menu Key is to the left of your home button.
3.) Using Three Finger or Multi-Touch Swipe Down.
Swiping down three fingers on the screen you want to capture is another easy method to take screenshot in MIUI 8. It doesn’t requires you holding any key or button. It is much preferred to the above methods in the sense that it won’t wears down your power or volume down buttons. You have to enable this feature if you are using it for the first time.

4.) Using Notification Bar Screenshot Toggle.
This is one of the most used method by MIUI users. Unfortunately, you can not capture the notification panel itself with this method.

5.) Using Quick Ball Menu.
Quick ball is a new feature in MIUI 8, it is an icon that appears on your screen and contains shortcuts to other functions. It is also referred to as Touch assistance and screen shot is one of its default shortcuts. To take screenshot in miui 8 with quick ball, tap on the quick ball icon and tap on screenshot icon.
You can change the position of screenshot icon or change all the shortcuts by navigating to Settings >> Additional Settings >> Quick ball >> Select shortcuts. Tap on each shortcuts to manage it.
Taking long or scrolling screenshot picture/image with this method is the same as the first method shared above.
