Head of the Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign organisation, Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has revealed what the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) response to five of its governors aligning with presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be.
Governor Tambuwal made this known when he was hosting media personnel at Government House over the weekend and reacting to reports that a G-5 PDP Governors comprising Nyesom Wike (Rivers State), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Ifeanyi Uguwanyi (Enugu) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo) states had met in London for collaborations towards ensuring Tinubu wins the upcoming polls.
According to Governor Tambuwal, PDP plans to take a lawful approach towards dealing with any of its members who go against set rules while exploring corrective measures.
Tambuwal said, “The five good colleagues that are in G-5…. You know, I have always been saying, we engage in political engineering and political negotiations. It is not a war of attrition.
“I always submit that in this our business, whatever it is that you are doing, even if you try to hide it, it will come out. You cannot plan and execute a political project in your own bedroom. You must come out with it.
“So, when my colleagues resolve on what to do, I think it is then that the party will now respond on whatever position they have taken,” he said.
