President Bola Tinubu has sent a letter to the Nigerian Senate regarding the recent military coup in Niger.
In the letter, Tinubu expresses his condemnation of the coup and outlines proposed actions and sanctions against the military officers involved.
These actions include the closure and monitoring of land borders, cutting off electricity supply, mobilizing international support, preventing commercial and special flights, and blocking goods in transit.
Additionally, Tinubu suggests a military intervention if the military junta in Niger refuses to comply with the demands of ECOWAS.
The letter was read on the floor of the Senate by Senator Godswill Akpabio.
