Brentford striker Ivan Toney has reportedly agreed personal terms with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli.
The 28-year-old, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Brentford, is in the final year of his contract.
With the transfer window nearing its end, Brentford faces a final opportunity to secure a significant transfer fee for the England international.
Reports suggest that Toney has agreed to personal terms with Al-Ahli, and the club’s vice-chairman Saad Al-Lazeez, along with sporting director Michael Emenalo, has traveled to London to finalize the move.
Brentford is reportedly seeking around £50 million for Toney, having already turned down a £35 million offer from Al-Ahli.
Negotiations are said to be in advanced stages, with optimism that a deal could be agreed upon soon.
If the transfer goes through, it would mark the end of Toney’s successful four-year spell at Brentford, during which he scored 72 goals in 141 appearances.
His contributions were pivotal in helping Brentford secure promotion to the Premier League in the 2020-21 season and achieve a top-half finish in the 2022-23 campaign.
Toney’s move to Al-Ahli would see him join a star-studded squad that includes players like Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez, Edouard Mendy, Franck Kessie, and Gabri Veiga.
With the club finishing third in the Saudi Pro League last season, Toney’s addition could further strengthen their team for the upcoming season.
