Chris Mba, a veteran Nigerian pop singer known for his iconic Jerry curl hair, has passed away.
According to Michael Odiong, the General Manager of Premier Music, Mba had been battling a heart-related disease for some time before his passing.
He died on Wednesday evening at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
Mba rose to fame in the 1980s with hit songs like ‘Baby Don’t Cry’, ‘Funky Situation’, ‘We Need Each Other’, and ‘Love Everlasting’.
He was signed to Premier Music and will be remembered as a beloved figure in the Nigerian music industry.
