Rihanna arrived at the 2023 Oscars in a relaxed ensemble that included a gray Philadelphia Eagles jersey, a green bucket hat from Jean Paul Gaultier, and black and white Puma sneakers – prompting many amused reactions on Twitter.
The 35-year-old singer was set to perform her Oscar-nominated song “Lift Me Up” from the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever during the 95th Academy Awards ceremony.
After appearing inside the venue in her casual attire, Rihanna made her way onto the red carpet where she proudly displayed her growing baby bump in a custom-made Alaïa leather band dress.
She accessorised the look with Giuseppe Zanotti heels and styled her long brown locks into a high top knot.
Prior to attending this year’s Oscars, Rihanna had jokingly shared an image of her 10-month-old son looking tearful at learning he wouldn’t be accompanying his mom for the show – however, he was seen in much better spirits watching her music video for “Lift Me Up”.
This marked Rihanna’s first red carpet-appearance since announcing her second pregnancy at the 2023 Super Bowl last month.
