Dele Momodu, director of strategic communications of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign council, has argued that some All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains are refraining from actively campaigning for Bola Tinubu because they are embarrassed.
According to Momodu, Tinubu has not successfully been able to market his manifesto and various gaffes he has made have become topics of social media comedy skits.
He added that this lacklustre performance may be the reason why President Muhammadu Buhari has been slow to join the campaigns.
Furthermore, Momodu observed that Vice-President Professor Yemi Osinbajo did not defend Tinubu’s policies or personal attributes during the APC rally when he officially handed over the party flag.
