Why these 3 Nigerian players should be called up to the Super Eagles

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

With the Nigeria National team set to regroup for a crucial African Cup of Nations clash this month, there are three talented players from Nigeria who have worked hard and proven themselves to be deserving of a call-up to the Super Eagles.

These players have consistently performed well for their respective teams and have earned the attention of coach Jose Peseiro.

Their impressive displays make them prime candidates for a first-time call up to the national team. Here, we look at why these three Nigerian players would be great additions to the Super Eagles squad.

Folarin Balogun (Reims, France)

Folarin Balogun is making a name for himself in the French League 1, outscoring some of Europe’s biggest stars like Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi.

Even Nigeria’s own Terem Moffi can’t match Balogun’s goal-scoring record this season.

These impressive performances could be enough to earn him his first call-up to the Nigerian national team as the World Cup qualifiers approach.

Chuba Akpom (Middlesbrough, England)

Chuba Akpom, a native of Middlesbrough in England, has been making waves for Michael Carrick’s side in the Sky Bet Championship this season.

Boro are currently placed third in the standings, behind Burnley and Sheffield United respectively.

Akpom has expressed hope that he may be invited to join the Super Eagles squad soon, despite having turned down an earlier offer to don Nigeria’s green and white jersey.

We will have to wait till later this month to find out if his wish will come true.

Gift Orban (KAA Gent, Belgium)

20-year-old Gift Orban moved to KAA Gent (Belgium) from Stabaek (Norway second division) a year ago and has since become an instrumental part of the team’s fortunes.

His displays have drawn comparisons with Moses Simon, another Nigerian who played for the same team in the past.

On that note, Orban was also responsible for scoring the winning goal in KAA Gent’s 1-0 victory over Anderlecht this weekend.

This is likely to attract attention of his National team selectors as Nigeria are said to announce their squad for African Cup of Nations qualifiers later this month and would seriously consider including him amongst them.
