Governor Nyesom Wike of Port Harcourt, River State has responded to the statement of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Vice Presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa.
Earlier, Okowa had opined that PDP will win the presidential election regardless of the G5 Governors’ support or lack thereof for Atiku Abubakar in 2023 general elections.
But Wike cautioned those behind such a statement to remember that God does not give power to those deemed ‘wicked and treacherous’.
He wanted them to understand that it is important that their hands remain clean, and their only prayer should be for ‘God not give power to those who betray their brothers.’
Reiterating his point about the whole scenario being based on God’s will, he warned against those whose agreement could change in the span of two minutes.
Finally, he disagrees with what many consider the truth – that it was traitors within PDP who made them lose previously held elections.
