YOBE: PDP Governorship Candidate Rejects Results, Alleges Malpractices

Sheriff Abdullahi, the Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Yobe State, has called for a review of the state election results.

After the gubernatorial elections on Saturday, March 18, 2023, the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Mai Mala Buni, who is also the incumbent governor of the state, as the winner.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Abdullahi alleges that the polls suffered from various election crimes, including inducement and vote-buying.

Abdullahi, however, urged his supporters to remain calm while they peacefully seek legal redress on the electoral outcomes.
