How to Pay School Fees via the Portal
- Go to the portal
- Input your JAMB registration number and portal access code
- Go to “Payment”
- Choose your level and semester
- Select a bank payment method
- Print the fee invoice and settle it at the bank
- Or, pick “online payment” and pay with your ATM card

AKSU School Fees & Recent Updates
AKSU has revised its fee regime. The latest published rates are:
- Freshers (Indigene): ₦93,000
- Freshers (Non-Indigene): ₦123,000
- Returning students (Indigene): ₦53,000
- Returning students (Non-Indigene): ₦73,000
These new rates were confirmed by the university.
Fees for postgraduate programmes (2024/2025) are also available: - PGD: ₦150,000
- Masters (M.Sc / M.A / M.Ed / M.Engr): ₦180,000
- PhD: ₦220,000
Paid in instalments (60% first semester, 40% second).
AKSU also imposes a matriculation fee. For example, ₦5,700 is required during matriculation via the portal.
If you delay in paying acceptance or school fees, consequences include admission cancellation or being barred from exams.
Leadership & History
Laying the foundation for AKSU began on October 18, 2000 under Governor Victor Attah. Legislative approval came on September 15, 2009 under Governor Godswill Akpabio. Full academic work began November 1, 2010. The first Vice-Chancellor was Professor Sunday W. Petters from 2010 to 2015. He was followed by Professor Eno Ibanga (2015–2020), then Professor Nse Essien.
Recently, Professor Otoabasi Etim Akpan was appointed Acting Vice Chancellor by the university council, pending selection of a permanent VC.
Campuses & Access
The main campus is in Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin LGA. There’s also a campus at Obio Akpa in Oruk Anam LGA. Traveling from Uyo to Ikot Akpaden generally takes 50 to 60 minutes, via Abak, Eket, Oron roads.
