How to Check Which 4G Band Frequencies your Phone Supports.

Your phone must be 4G enabled to support any LTE band. If not, don’t bother.

  • You will need MTK Engineering Mode for this. If you don’t already have it installed on your phone, navigate to play store and install.
  • Launch the app and Tap on MTK Settings.
  • From the list of options, tap on Band Mode >> select your preferred Sim >> scroll down to LTE Mode.
  • List of LTE Bands supported by your phone has already been ticked. If you can’t check or uncheck a band, it means your smart phone doesn’t support that band.

That’s, if you can’t check the band 28, 3, 20 or 7, 8 or 3, 40 and 20 it means your phone is not compatible with Glo 4G, Etisalat 4G, MTN 4G, NTEL, Spectranet/Swift and Smile respectively.
