Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has issued a public apology to his partner Natasha Osawaru, his children, and fans after comments he made about sexual loyalty caused an uproar, NaijNaira can report.
The statement originated during a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast with media host Nedu, where 2Baba said he believes it’s unrealistic for a man to be sexually committed to one woman.
Speaking plainly, he said, “A man is not built to sexually be with one woman. A man can give his heart and love to one woman, but sexually? It’s impossible.”
He also added, “I have said this a couple of days ago and I got into trouble for it. But I didn’t care about that.”
His remarks drew sharp reactions online, especially since they came just months after his split from actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia.
In a follow-up video on Instagram, 2Baba addressed the backlash directly, admitting he went too far with his words.
“I know I fvcked up with what I said and I know I’m going to get cancelled because of it,” he said. “I apologise to my fans and most importantly, my wife, the love of my life, Natasha, and also my kids. I’m terribly sorry. That’s not who I am.”
