50 Cent Sues to Stop Release of Horror Film ‘Skillhouse’

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is taking legal action to prevent the release of a horror film he claims he never officially agreed to.

According to a report by TMZ, the rapper filed a lawsuit on April 24 against producer Ryan Kavanaugh over the film Skillhouse.

The dispute centers on an alleged lack of a finalized contract. Jackson says he agreed to appear in the movie with the understanding that a formal agreement would follow.

He now claims that he was never paid and that the film cannot legally be released without his signature.

“They can’t release this MOVIE SKILL HOUSE without my signature, which they do not have,” Jackson stated.

On social media, he doubled down by posting a screenshot of the TMZ article and adding, “I didn’t get paid 🤷 I’m afraid I’m gonna need that by Monday. You already know the vibes!”

Kavanaugh had recently released the opening eight minutes of the film as a promotional push for his GenTV platform, ahead of its planned July 2025 release.

Skillhouse follows ten influencers who find themselves trapped in a content house, where they must survive a series of deadly social media challenges.

Kavanaugh described the project as one that connects with fans of horror and digital culture alike.

Jackson argues that he not only didn’t approve the final version of the film but also expected to have input on the creative process.

He is now seeking at least $5 million in damages, along with additional punitive compensation.
