Burna Boy has revealed that some Nigerians once accused him of relying on juju simply because he keeps his armpits unshaved — www.naijnaira.com reports.
In a recent chat with Apple Music, the Grammy winner said the misconception is one of the strangest things he has ever heard about himself.
According to him, “One is that I don’t like to shave my armpits. People think it’s like Samson in the Bible whose power was in his hair.”
The Afrobeats star explained that some people even insist his armpits hold mystical strength that fuels his achievements.
“There are some people that claim that my armpit is where my power is because I don’t shave,” he said.
Burna Boy laughed at the suggestion, saying Nigerians sometimes create the wildest stories about celebrities.
He admitted the rumor became so popular that he once tried to check if such a belief could even be real.
“I even tried to find out if it’s possible,” he added, before dismissing it as “just some dumb sht that’s going on.”
