Shock swept through social media after Nigerian TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, was reportedly kidnapped during a live broadcast on Wednesday night — www.naijnaira.com reports.
According to DAILY POST, the online content creator was live when armed men stormed the scene, sparking chaos that was partly captured in clips circulating online.
In the footage, Peller could be heard confronting the attackers, saying, “You dey carry gun, Ogun wan kill you? Calm down jor. Na who you come dey point gun for?”
One of the gunmen fired back, “Na me you dey follow me the tok like that? I say make you calm down, you dey follow me dey tok anyhow.”
The tense exchange was followed by voices suggesting a struggle, before someone nearby declared that the TikToker had been taken away to an unknown location.
By Thursday morning, a relief update came from fellow content creator Sandra Benede, who confirmed in a live video that police had found him.
“They have seen him. DPO has seen him. They never give details but they have seen him,” Sandra told viewers.
Reactions online remain divided, with some users questioning if the incident was staged while others voiced deep concern for Peller’s safety.
As of now, police are yet to issue an official statement on the case.
