Celebrity chef and food influencer Hilda Baci has unveiled her next big project, and it is set to be a record-breaking feast — www.naijnaira.com reports.
According to Legit.ng, the Guinness World Record holder revealed that she will be preparing the largest pot of jollof rice ever cooked.
The pot built for the challenge has a massive capacity of 22,619 litres, and Baci said her aim is to fill at least 80 percent of it.
She estimated that the task would require 5,278 kilogrammes of raw basmati rice, which equals about 264 bags.
“I am making the executive decision to do 250 bags,” she explained in a video shared on Instagram.
Her plan includes using 1,583 kilogrammes of Gino tomato paste, alongside pepper chicken paste and jollof paste.
“For one kg of rice, you would need between 0.20 to 0.35, but because it’s Nigerian jollof, I’m going to use 0.30,” she said.
Baci assured that the recipe will deliver not just the biggest, but also the tastiest pot of Nigerian jollof rice ever made.
