Manchester United and Chelsea have both been credited with an interest in Victor Osimhen, as the summer transfer window draws near.
According to reports, the Red Devils have set their price at £107 million for the Napoli striker and it would be a club-record transfer.
Osimhen has found great success this season scoring 16 Serie A goals, putting his team into contention for winning the title.
Manchester United recently signed Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley until the end of the season but are still keen on drastic changes come this summer.
They could offload Anthony Martial while Mason Greenwood’s future is also uncertain. On top of that, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang likely leaving Chelsea at season’s end, they are in need of a centre forward and Osimhen fits the bill perfectly.
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich remain potential suitors alongside United and Chelsea as well due to their interest in adding another striker to their roster.
Former United player Louis Saha has since lamented his side’s decision to sign Weghorst rather than Osimhen earlier in the year as he believes he is”very physically capable and clinical in front of goal”.
