Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary, with Wilson sharing a sweet photo of Hanks presenting her with a cake on Instagram.
The couple first met on the set of ABC’s sitcom Bosom Buddies in 1981 and have been married since 1988.
They have two children together, Chet and Truman, and Hanks has two children from his previous marriage.
Wilson, a singer-songwriter, slowed down her career while her children were young to be present for them and support her husband’s career.
The couple has always been supportive of each other’s careers, and Wilson has described their marriage as “inspirational” and “sweet”.
