Among the key figures present were Dr. Shaibu Ojogbane, the alliance’s publicity secretary, and Chukwunonso Ezeani, the director of research. Dr. Ojogbane delivered a compelling speech, emphasizing the alliance’s dissatisfaction with the EFCC’s handling of Yahaya Bello’s case. He stressed that the commission’s actions appeared selective and politically motivated, undermining the integrity of their operations. Coinciding with this protest was a counter-demonstration, which, according to the protesting alliance, was allegedly sponsored by the opposition in Kogi State. This counter-demonstration also took place in London and was purportedly orchestrated by supporters of Murtala Ajaka, the opposition candidate in the upcoming November 2023 gubernatorial election in Kogi State.
