APC Chieftain Mocks Atiku as Adeleke Ignoring His Calls

An APC chieftain, Ayekooto Akindele, has mocked former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Governor Nasir El-Rufai over their political future. Akindele claims that no Nigerian governor, including Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, will back Atiku in the 2027 presidential election.

According to a report on Daily Post, Akindele further alleged that Adeleke no longer answers Atiku’s calls during the day, fueling the rift between the PDP and some of its governors. His comments came after reports indicated that certain PDP governors had reportedly made deals with President Bola Tinubu, a move he believes will weaken the opposition party.

Despite these internal divisions, Akindele expressed confidence that Tinubu would win a second term in office. He insisted that the opposition’s fractured unity would not be enough to stop the president’s political momentum.

In a bold statement, Akindele compared the situation to chicks following a chicken, suggesting that despite the challengers, they would inevitably follow the leader. The APC chieftain’s remarks emphasize the political shift in Nigeria ahead of the upcoming elections.
