Meghan Markle has issued an apology after her lifestyle brand, As Ever, struggled to fulfil orders for its recently restocked apricot spread and honey, NaijNaira can report.
The mishap followed last month’s restock of the Duchess’s food line, which includes the £20 limited-edition orange blossom honey and a £10 apricot spread in keepsake packaging, according to HELLO! Magazine.
Some customers were notified via email that their apricot spread orders could not be completed due to overwhelming demand.
“As Ever” told customers, “Due to high demand, we are unable to fulfil your order of the apricot spread at this time. We are refunding the purchase of this item by the end of this week.”
The company also assured buyers they would receive the product free when it’s back in stock, a gesture that has drawn praise from fans.
One user on Reddit wrote, “It made me feel like they genuinely cared about me as a customer, and it made me want to order from them again.”
Another added, “I’ve NEVER been gifted the product as an apology. Let’s celebrate the little things.”
Meghan’s first product range launched in April, featuring artisanal preserves and herbal teas.
She described the response as “absolutely extraordinary” but admitted concern over stock shortages during the launch.
This week, she introduced her new rosé wine. Priced above £20 a bottle, it sold out in under an hour.
The Napa Valley Rosé 2023, featuring soft stone fruit notes, was available only to U.S. customers and required a minimum three-bottle purchase.
