AC Milan are weighing a summer move for Nigeria international Ola Aina, as they search for a right-back ahead of the new season, NaijNaira can report.
According to Spazio Milan, the club is also monitoring Strasbourg’s Guela Doué and Porto’s Martim Fernandes, but both players carry high price tags. Doué is reportedly valued at €20 million, while Porto are holding out for €60 million for Fernandes.
That has led Milan’s sporting director Igli Tare to consider more experienced and affordable options, with Aina now back in focus.
Aina spent five years in Serie A with Torino before joining Nottingham Forest, where he has impressed since signing as a free agent in 2023.
Last season, the 27-year-old played 35 Premier League matches, scored twice, and provided one assist. His consistent performances and Serie A experience make him an attractive option.
Forest recently triggered a one-year extension in Aina’s contract, keeping him at the club until 2026. But the English side may listen to offers in the region of €10 million.
“Aina has always been comfortable in Italy,” a source close to the player told Spazio Milan. “It wouldn’t be surprising to see him back.”
Forest, however, are reportedly keen to extend his deal further after he helped the club secure a UEFA Europa Conference League spot.
Despite that, AC Milan see Aina as a realistic target with a strong upside. His familiarity with Italian football could smooth the transition if talks progress in the coming weeks.
