Abandoned newborn baby found with handwritten note

In Cameroon’s North West region, a newborn baby was discovered abandoned with a handwritten note beside it, believed to have been left by the mother.

The baby was found in good health and taken to a health center after being discovered early in the morning.

The mother explained in the note that she had no other option as she lacked the resources to care for the baby and had no one to rely on.

She requested that the baby be taken care of and named him Migael, providing his birthdate and vaccination information.

The Reach Out Organization is now working to determine the best course of action for the baby’s care.
